Research & Projects

Max Kopp’s research focuses on turning science into real-world impact. His work spans two main disciplines — biomedical engineering and aerospace innovation — each tied together by his use of advanced nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, and scalable design principles. Every project begins with a question: How can we use cutting-edge tools to solve problems that matter?

Non-Invasive Glucose Monitoring

Max Kopp set out to answer a simple question: Can we monitor blood glucose painlessly? Inspired by his family’s struggles with diabetes, he developed a wearable biosensor that replaces finger-pricks and invasive devices.

Spacecraft Structural Monitoring

The system uses inkjet-printed conductive nanomaterials that detect mechanical or environmental stress. Onboard AI analyzes the data in real time, flagging anomalies before they become critical for astronauts and mission control.
