Max Kopp Tech

Vitasense is Max Kopp’s first med-tech startup, born from his award-winning research on non-invasive glucose monitoring. The company’s mission is to make diabetes management more comfortable, affordable, and accessible for millions of people around the world. This innovation has received major recognition at the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS), the Yau Science Award, and the Delaware Valley Science Fair, and was selected as a finalist for Regeneron ISEF. It is currently being commercialized through his startup, Vitasense.

The Vitasense Solution

Vitasense offers a flexible, wearable sensor that monitors glucose levels in real-time—without a single drop of blood. The device uses nanomaterials and polarized light to detect glucose through the skin, and pairs it with AI-powered algorithms for precision readings. It is designed to be low-cost, non-invasive, and easy to use for people of all ages.

The Problem

Diabetes patients rely on continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) or painful finger-prick tests to manage their condition. Current CGMs are expensive and invasive, making them inaccessible to many. Max believed there had to be a better way.

Traction & Recognition

Vitasense has earned finalist positions at prestigious competitions including the Conrad Challenge and the Diamond Challenge, and won Most Innovative at the Global Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge. The company is currently seeking FDA pathway guidance, academic research partnerships, and early-stage investment to move toward pilot testing and eventual clinical trials.

Vision &

Impact

Vitasense aims to become the go-to platform for non-invasive biosensing technology. With a mission grounded in equity and innovation, Max hopes to expand Vitasense into broader chronic care monitoring, starting with diabetes but not ending there.
